Space Systems EN with Security Clearance
James Scott, L.L.C., is actively searching for a Space Systems Engineer to provide advanced engineering support across all phases of the system lifecycle to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate GEOINT. This role applies to a multi-disciplinary approach to the development, integration, and sustainment of space-based capabilities within Controlled Access Programs and Special Access Programs across the NSG and the DoW/IC.
The engineer will engage in activities including requirements engineering, solutions development, systems reliability and resiliency, services deployment, research and development, systems integration, test and evaluation, and maintainability analysis. A deep understanding of secure architectures and the ability to operate effectively within highly sensitive environments is essential.

Springfield, Virginia.
- Hold a Master's degree in engineering and 15 years of experience, or PhD in Engineering and 8 years of experience in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics
- Experience with Integrated Protection Strategy (IPS) or integrating SSA applications
- Experience with space related activities such as SOSI, BMC3, or orbital analysis
- Experience dealing with data at multiple classification levels and processing data at multiple classification levels
- Demonstrated experience with space enterprise information needs
- Experience with space environments such as space to ground or threat assessments of space assets
- Experience with physics models to include analyzing space weather effects, and threat/damage analysis of space-based objects
- Experience with space object measurement
- Experience with NRO/SAO or AF SPO
- Understanding of MBSE processes, tools, and languages
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
