Political Science Intern

Sherpa 6 is seeking a motivated college student for a Government Relations and Public Policy internship this fall 2026. This internship will allow students to gain hands‑on experience tracking legislation, analyzing policies, and learning how to develop advocacy strategies that align with corporate objectives.

• Learn key business operations and how state and federal (or international) legislative and regulatory activities impact corporate operations and market sectors.
• Synthesize political and policy developments into clear reports, briefing materials, and presentations.
• Help assist in coordinating external advocacy efforts and stakeholder outreach programs.
• Hands on experience working in Capitol Hill, take notes and prepare summaries for meetings with government officials.

• Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or International Relations.
• Exceptional research and writing skills are required to draft white papers, executive summaries, and policy positions.
• Superior business acumen with the ability to understand the intersection of public policy and corporate strategy.
• Self‑motivated and confident individuals who can thrive in complex, fast‑paced, matrixed corporate environments.

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
