Criminal Intelligence Analyst
Position:
Criminal Intelligence Analyst
Location:
Springfield, VA
Schedule:
Day/ M-F
Anticipated Salary Range: $70,000-$72,000
Responsibilities:
- Provide intelligence services related to the analysis, processing, development, and distribution of strategic and criminal intelligence supporting Federal Protective Services operations.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree 4 yrs of Experience as an intelligence analyst
- Bachelor's Degree 2 yrs of experience as an intelligence analyst
- Working knowledge of databases and software programs used in the intelligence environment
- Excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills
- (REQUIRED) Current Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (or higher DIE Certification) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire
Clearance: TS/SCI
Mental Requirements:
Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred in International Studies, Intelligence, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or other related concentration.
- Prior experience performing Open-Source Collection
- Criminal Intelligence analysis experience
- Experience working with DHS data sources
- Knowledge of the DHS FPS intelligence authorities, DHS component missions, and the role of FPS in supporting the DHS Intelligence Enterprise; overall FPS intelligence research, analysis, and production process
- Specific knowledge of title 18 authorities
- Knowledge of multiple open-source areas including surface, deep, and dark web.
- Knowledge of multiple collection techniques or approaches
- Knowledge of developing a collection plan and dissemination practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, common Open-Source tools, and DHS data systems.
- Experience working researching and providing evaluations for Intelligence Information Reports (IIR)
