• Consistentlyattendsworkandprovidesappropriatenoticeforscheduledvacations
• Answeranddirectphonecalls
• Developandmaintainafilingsystem
• Assistwithtreatmentasdirectedbytherapist
• Coordinateworkactivitieswithmembersofotherdepartmentsandotherstaffwithintherehabilitation department
• Demonstrateapositiveattitudeandteambuildingapproachwithallpatients,clients,team members
• Providegeneralsupporttovisitors
• Transport patientsasscheduledtoandfromtreatmentareas
• Prepare patientsfortreatment
• Assist patients,clients,teammemberswithparticularissuesorneeds
• Actquicklyandresponsiblyincasesofemergency
• Participateinfacilityperformanceimprovementprograms
• Performotherdutiesasrequested
• ReportanyunusualincidentstoDOR
• Assistinmaintainingthecleanlinessofthetreatmentareasanddepartment
• Assistwithmaintaininganadequatestockofsuppliesandequipment

The Rehabilitation Techisathighriskforexposuretobloodandbodyfluids .

• Reportstothe Director of Rehabordesignee .

• As delegated

• High Schoolgraduateorequivalent.
• CNA certification in VA is required*

• Previousexperienceinpatient/residentcareinanursingcenter,hospital,or rehabilitationcenterpreferred.
  
  Therapystudentswillbeconsidered.

• Worksinwell-lighted/ventilated officeandtherapy areas.
• Sitting,standing,bending,liftingandmovingintermittentlyduringworkinghours.
• Subjecttofrequentinterruptions.
• Involvedwithpatients/residents,family members,personnel,etc.,underallconditions/circumstances.
• Subjecttohostileandemotionallyupsetpatients/residents,family members,etc.
• Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel, andother department supervisors.
• Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
• Mustbeconstantlyalertforpatient’s/resident’ssafety.
• Subject to falls, burns from equipment, infectious diseases, odors, etc., throughout the workday.
• Subjecttolifting,carryingandsupportingpatients/residents.
• Abletotravelbetweenfacilitiesasindicatedby Supervisor.
• Mobilephoneuseisonlypermittedduringbreakandnonpaidallocatedlunchtimes.
  
  Phonesshouldbekeptonvibrateatalltimes.

• Completionofon-the-joborientationandtrainingprogram.

• Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit push, pull and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able tospeak the Englishlanguageinanunderstandablemanner.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotionalstressoftheposition.
• Must possess sight/hearingsensesoruseprostheticsthatwillenablethesesensestofunctionadequately,sothattherequirementsofthispositioncanbefullymet.
• Must function independently,have flexibility,personal integrity,andtheabilitytoworkeffectivelywithpatients,clients,andteammembers.
• Mustbeingoodgeneral healthanddemonstrateemotionalstability.
• Mustbeabletocopewiththementalandemotionalstressoftheposition.
• Mustpossesssight/hearingsensesoruseprostheticsthatwillenablethesesensestofunctionadequately,sothattherequirementsofthispositioncanbefullymet.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and teammates.
• Must being good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Must be able to lift patients/residents, medical equipment, supplies, etc. to 50lbs
