Position: UI/UX Developer
Location: NGA - Springfield, VA
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI (Ability to Obtain CI Poly)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Education: Bachelor's OR Master's (Required)
Salary: $130,000 - $145,000 (based on experience and level)
OverviewWe are seeking a UI/UX Developer to support the NGA. This role focuses on designing and developing advanced web-based user interfaces that support large-scale data analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate blends strong front-end engineering skills with a user-centered design mindset and has experience working directly with data scientists and mission users in classified environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain web-based user interfaces supporting large-scale data analytics platforms
- Collaborate closely with data science teams and mission end users to translate analytical requirements into intuitive UI/UX solutions
- Develop interactive visualizations, including:
- Time-series analysis
- Geospatial/map-based visualizations
- Free-text and structured user input workflows
- Integrate front-end applications with Oracle databases and APIs to support read/write data operations
- Perform user management and access control tasks
- Incorporate direct user feedback into iterative UI/UX improvements
10+ years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following roles:
Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Product Designer, UI/UX Developer
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field may substitute for up to 3 years of experience
A master's degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
Demonstrated experience building UI solutions that support large-scale analytics environments
Strong front-end development experience with:
React.js, JavaScript / Type Script, Python, Plotly / Dash
Experience with Oracle databases and SQL
Experience integrating APIs and working with backend data services
Experience developing in Git Lab-based environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline management
Ability to interact directly with mission users and stakeholders in a classified setting
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
Experience working with Palantir Foundry
