Imagery Scientist; LIDAR

Position: Imagery Scientist (LIDAR)
Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an Imagery Scientist (LIDAR) - to join our team in Springfield, VA.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

* Collect process data and perform data analysis.

* Integrate centralized protect and maintain data in DBMS.

* Clean massage and organized data.

* Perform ad hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.

* Communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise and actionable manner using storytelling/visualization.

* Create/deploy/maintain cloud applications to support migration of data and production processes

* Create/deploy/maintain tools to extract features data and meta-data from a variety of sources, including Raster to vector-to-vector text to vector and text database.

* Write/maintain Python scripts in Arc GIS to improve efficiency of the production process.

* Support Business Processing Re-engineering.

* Perform Data Conversion/migration

* Perform Business Analytics.

Basic Qualifications

* Typically requires a BA degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.

* BS in image science, remote sensing, earth science, etc. 3+ years processing & exploiting LIDAR data. ArcGIS, QTModeler, ENVI.

* Active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency developing & delivering course materials (live & recorded).

* MATLAB/IDL/similar.

* ArcGIS.

* Advanced degree.

* Sharepoint.

* Amazon C2S, PKIs.

* Familiarity with emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, tools, and methodologies, with an understanding of their applications, implications, and integration into daily geospatial and intelligence workflows.

* Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance
