Systems Engineer

Job Description

Leidos is currently seeking a Software Specialist to join our team.

• Duties include analysis of systems requirements, timelines, requirements allocation, defining interfaces, system testing and integration and quality assurance.
• Responsible for technical planning and system design, development and integration, and system verification and validation.
• Influences development of innovative solutions that impact strategic customer goals and results. Recommend new technical solutions in support of strategy and operations.
• Includes work of other technical staff that impact project results and outputs.
• Applies technical knowledge to resolve highlighted complex problems, develops innovative solutions through research and integration of best practices.
• Ability to communicate with leadership regarding matters of significant importance, including new concepts, practices and approaches.
• Proven ability to influence others with respect to weighing the pros and cons of alternatives and the best value approach to phased solutioning.

• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
• Skilled at prioritization and multi‑tasking.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Able to effectively utilize core scripting languages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience; additional experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
• Has in‑depth understanding of core programming tools (i.e. Python), Service Now principles, algorithmic theories, data analysis concepts and their application across a range of deliverables.

• Experience working in a non‑prem environment.
• Experience navigating proprietary customer‑developed systems.
• Able to create and present PowerPoint presentations to demonstrate concepts and solution pathways.
• Experience in the Service Now modules of Inventory, Procurement, Software Activation, Report Generation.
• Experience working with data‑analysis and presentation tools such as Power
  
  BI and Tableau.
