Description
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated End User Computing Manager to lead and coordinate implementation and optimization of advanced network solutions for a mission-critical enterprise IT environment. This position will support our MAJESTIC Joint Program Office (JPO) Team and requires an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure architecture and security compliance.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing full lifecycle IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and deployments. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure that all project deliverables align with business objectives and that requirements are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
All work must be performed on-site in Springfield, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains smooth operation of local area, worldwide and virtual private networks (VPN).
- Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
- Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
- Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Candidates must satisfy Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF) (Network Analyst - Intermediate Level) requirements, as outlined by Navy COOL .
This requirement can be met by possessing one or more of the following qualifying certifications: - CompTIA Cloud+
- CompTIA Security+
- GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 9-15 years of professional experience managing and supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
- Familiarity with network-related principles, including DNS, load balancing, service discovery, and secure system interconnectivity.
- Experience with monitoring tools for performance, diagnostics, and metrics collection (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Solar Winds).
- Expertise in enterprise platform services, including infrastructure architecture, virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and Windows Server management.
- Experience implementing and supporting high availability (HA) architectures, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies for both traditional and containerized systems.
- Knowledge of security/compliance standards such as RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD 8510.01, with experience ensuring compliance in Kubernetes/containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, LDAP, and PKI-based systems.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified:
Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals. - Vendor-specific certifications for identity tools such as Forge Rock, Okta, Ping Identity, or SailPoint.
- Experience establishing ICAM within a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) framework.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
