Junior Software Developer

Purpose and Impact

The Geospatial Enterprise Open Data Store (GEODS) contract provides integration, design, development, and sustainment for data services that support the Federal Government. In this role you will shape the GEODS Catalog ecosystem and drive the integration of advanced AI/ML solutions to improve discovery, classification, and accessibility of mission‑critical data.

Monday – Friday, core hours 9AM – 3PM.

• Manage the full software release lifecycle, including build, deployment, and post‑release monitoring.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience, Associate’s degree plus 4 years’ experience, or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (SDKs, CDK) and Git Lab.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Designing scalable APIs and backend services in Java (preferred), Python, or JavaScript.
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly.

• Cloud certification(s) from AWS, OCI, or Google Cloud.
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise catalog systems.
• Past experience with Apache Solr.
• Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Prior NGA experience.
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience.
• 2+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform.

$79,000 – $170,000. The actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws.
