Splunk Dashboard Developer

** Description*
* Vanguard is seeking a skilled Splunk Dashboard Developer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insights from Department-level operational data. The developer will work closely with NT leadership and operators to translate mission requirements into real-time, scalable, and visually intuitive dashboards.

This role is considered hybrid and may require onsite work in Springfield, VA and Beltsville, MD.

* Key Responsibilities:

* + Develop and maintain dashboards natively within Splunk using SPL (Search Processing Language) and Dashboard Studio / Simple XML.

+ Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability with large data sets.

+ Collaborate with NT leadership, engineers, operators, and stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet operational and mission requirements.

+ Assist in data modeling, reporting, and access control configuration for secure and effective information sharing.

+ Support documentation and training for dashboard users.

Education & Experience:

* + Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience;
Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.

+ Strong experience with Splunk dashboard development and SPL query language.

+ Proven ability to design and optimize Splunk dashboards for large, complex datasets.

+ Experience translating operational requirements into actionable visualizations.

+ Familiarity with collaborative tools for sharing dashboards across teams.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

** Required Clearance:*
* + US Citizenship.

+ Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain top secret.

** Preferred:*
* + Experience in a government environment.

+ Familiarity with IT-related (specifically network) data and metrics.

+ Familiarity with IT operations, monitoring, or ticketing platforms such as Service Now.

+ Ability to use APIs to pull data from Splunk for custom reporting or integrations.

+ Some Power BI experience for cases where Splunk dashboards may not meet all visualization needs.

+ Security clearance or ability to obtain one.
