Job DescriptionProvide analytic methodology services Modeling Skills – Use of analytic tools, to develop models, visualize data, and perform a range of analyses (e.g., systems analysis, comparative analysis). Models shall be used to ensure repeatability, efficiency, knowledge capture, hypothesis testing and process automation.
Scientific Discipline – Champion implementation of scientific rigor of quantitative and qualitative techniques to enhance the analysis of complex national security problems.
Data Stories – Document and visualize data both temporally and spatially to assist in data integrity checks, ask the next question, and display analytical assessments.
Capabilities Advancement - Apply emerging and innovative analysis techniques to answer key intelligence questions. Provide technical consultation into the development, evaluation, use, and deployment of solutions to optimize GEOINT analysis and production. Knowledge of data modeling, methodologies, and processing techniques shall be employed on behalf of GEOINT analysis and community customers while providing operational support.
Required Skills- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as data science, data analytics, Geographic Information Science, Geography, Physical Science, Operations Research, or a related field.
- In conjunction with proficiency, must have at least ten years’ experience with facilitation, business process improvement, critical thinking, deductive logic, analytic modeling, geographic information systems and research design.
- Must have experience using quantitative and qualitative techniques to solve complex problems using analytic tools and techniques such as GIS, quantitative methods and data visualization, modeling, systems analysis, comparative analysis, and database development.
- Demonstrated experience relevant to managing data science projects and workflows.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data mining, cleansing, and exploring spatial, temporal, and non-spatial data in both structured and unstructured formats.
- Must have the ability to learn an intelligence problem’s essential elements of information, identify sub-processes and dependencies, locate process dysfunction, develop alternative processes or analysis, share expertise with analysts and document approaches and methods for GEOINT analysis.
- Training in applied mathematics including statistics and mathematical support to provide temporal and pattern analysis, correlation of events, probability analysis, assessments of sampling, analysis of variance and error, and regression testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Possess an existing active TS/SCI level security clearance
- PhD in a quantitative discipline such as data science, Geographic Information Science, Geography, Physical Science, Operations Research, or a related field.

- Demonstrated experience with two or more modeling software suites in the absence of programming knowledge:
- FME, SPSS, SAS, ArcGIS Model Builder, or similar
- Experience with two or more visualization tools/packages:
- ggplot, Plotly, matplotlib, D3, Tableau, bokeh
- Experience with software packages for formatting and cleansing data in the absence of programming knowledge:
- Paxata
- Background in intelligence, defense, international relations, or public administration multi-disciplines.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the US Intelligence Community specifically GEOINT collection and exploitation.
- Experience collaborating with all national and service intelligence agencies/centers
