Oracle Database Engineer

As an Oracle Database Engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop end-to-end geospatial database solutions in a fast, agile environment. Your responsibilities include designing and deploying high-availability, high-performance database systems, mastering new tools, identifying needed system improvements, and ensuring solutions meet architectural and operating environment requirements.

• 5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
• 4+ years of experience with enterprise data engineering, including geospatial data
• 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns (Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, network security)
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Cloud Formation)
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development using OCI services
• Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms
• Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree

• Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
• Experience with data migration from AWS to OCI and OCI AI offerings
• Experience with database administration and optimization, including Postgre
  
  SQL with geospatial workloads
• Experience designing and optimizing spatial database schemas, spatial indexing strategies, and complex geospatial queries at scale
• Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
• Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
• Experience developing dashboards and monitoring systems to track streaming services
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
• OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certification
• IAT Level II Certifications such as Security+ or CISSP

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary range: $86,800.00 to $ annualized USD, depending on location, experience, and role.
