Job DescriptionHII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting‑edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise‑Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations.
The selected candidate will contribute to a high‑impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission‑critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required. Candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain a CI poly.

EssentialJob Responsibilities
- You will provide expert cybersecurity engineering support to edge system stakeholders—including system owners, information security professionals, system engineers, and administrators—to ensure systems remain in full technical alignment with organizational security requirements.
- In this role, you translate cybersecurity policies, controls, and risk management guidance into actionable engineering recommendations that strengthen the security posture of distributed and mission critical edge environments.
- Key responsibilities include evaluating system architectures, identifying security gaps, and advising teams on secure design principles, hardening strategies, and compliance obligations.
- You will review technical implementations, validate control effectiveness, and guide stakeholders through security engineering activities related to system upgrades, deployments, and operational changes.
- You may also support security assessments, documentation development, boundary protection planning, and risk remediation recommendations.
- Additionally, you will travel up to 25% annually to engage with field sites, perform on‑site technical reviews, collaborate with local stakeholders, and ensure edge systems are designed, configured, and maintained in accordance with organizational and mission focused security expectations.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible hands‑on experience as an information systems security professional. Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in the following:
- Implementing and facilitating the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) within the DoD/IC
