RTX seeks an Operator to join a high-performing Operations and Sustainment team embedded on‑site, with customer presence, for a system considered mission critical by the government. The team is responsible for successful 24x7 operations of the system, providing detailed assistance to additional parts of the system.
The position is a weekday first shift (6:00 am – 2:00 pm) with one 12‑hour weekend shift approximately every five weeks after initial training. After each weekend shift, the employee may select three days off of their choosing the following week.
Responsibilities- The operator works with other operators, data managers, Raytheon's factory team of engineers, technologists, subcontractors, peers, customers, and product vendors to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting toward resolution of technical system anomalies.
- They maintain the environment by identifying anomalies and restoring operations or working with senior engineers for action.
- They assist with installing upgrades, monitor systems and network performance, initiate troubleshooting, and work with other organizations.
- They follow existing operational policies and procedures, troubleshoot hardware, software and operating system issues, and escalates application problems to support teams.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Linux commands.
- Security+ certification.
- Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Familiarity with technical documentation.
- Comfortable performing normal duties colocalized with the customer and other operations center residents.
- Proven ability in strong customer support.
- Strong team player with good communications and detailed problem tracking for system reports.
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. RTX considers factors such as role, function, associated responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.
