Systems Engineer, Systems Analyst
Job Status: Position is active/funded and is contingent upon customer acceptance.
Location: Springfield, VA or Chantilly, VA (on-site).
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Expert Systems Architect to join our team. The Architect will lead the design and development of solutions for complex application problems, API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services to meet user requirements and align with strategic goals and Enterprise Architecture. The primary focus is the development and design of the ASG architecture.
The Architect will develop and brief architecture status at senior international leadership forums, provide technical advice to TIP leadership, work closely with the ACP/APMO team, and respond quickly to ad-hoc tasking in support of liaison national officers.
- Assist Government in directing system architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures ensuring traceability to the Enterprise architecture and requirements.
- Assist with analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
- Advise Government on proposed changes to the solutions architecture design based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level System Architect contractors.
- Design and update Enterprise-level digital models/representations architectures that capture Enterprise requirements and provide roadmaps to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
- Support continued development, maintenance, and documentation of the ASG Architecture.
- Recommend, instantiate, and operate architecture tools that support analysis and decision making through architecture data in the form of models, simulations, reports, and views.
- Create architecture information and artifacts (in accordance with DoDAF and IC PAG) relevant and usable across NGA, NSG, ASG, USG, commercial, and foreign partners.
- Use the Joint Architecture Reference Models (JARM) to describe, analyze, and identify potential architectural service gaps, support AOA, leverage existing resources, and assist with investment and divestment decisions for the agency.
- Use MBSE methods and tools to build and maintain digital system models of services, components, systems, and subsystems across NGA, NSG, ASG, USG, commercial and foreign partners, linking requirement and design artifacts to solution and enterprise level architectures.
- Manage and maintain processes and tools for automated maintenance and management of architecture artifacts within the enterprise repository.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM program, or 18+ years as a System Architect.
- 18+ years experience in government or industry in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, DoDAF, or IC PAG.
- Experience communicating and collaborating within and outside the organization, including with senior executives and leaders.
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
- Certified Enterprise Architect (or similar Federated Enterprise Architect Certification).
- Certification from National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace, Enterprise Architecture Certification.
- Ability to work onsite in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment, as required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, technical teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to analyze requirements and contribute to technical solutions in a mission-driven environment.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and deliver quality work under deadlines.
- Ability to analyze complex system requirements and develop technical recommendations.
- Ability to contribute to systems engineering, integration, and evaluation efforts across the lifecycle.
- Ability to support technical planning, risk identification, and system improvement initiatives.
