Azure Enclave Admin
Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring an Azure Enclave Admin. Responsibilities may include system patching and firmware updates, configuration management, enclave troubleshooting, security support, technical documentation, and maintaining operational procedures across secure environments. This is a direct placement role located in Springfield, Virginia. The Azure Enclave Admin is expected to have experience in Azure administration, cloud infrastructure, system administration, configuration management, technical documentation, network security, and secure enclave environments.
This is a great opportunity to support critical cloud and infrastructure operations in a highly secure environment. Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility Responsibilities for the Azure Enclave Admin:
- Perform system patching, firmware updates, and configuration management across enclave environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve enclave, system, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and implementation guides.
- Support the administration of Azure environments, including compute, networking, storage, and identity services.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to implement security controls, assess risks, and improve infrastructure operations.
Required Qualifications for the Azure Enclave Admin:
- 5-8+ years of experience in system administration, enclave management, configuration management, and system patching.
- At least 6 months of experience managing and administering production Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Experience administering Azure environments, including Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and Entra (Azure Active Directory).
- Experience creating and managing virtual machines (VMs), containers, and Azure storage resources.
- Proficiency with Power Shell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure-as-code technologies including Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep, and Terraform.
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, security implementation guides, and Azure architecture diagrams.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and hybrid cloud environments, including Azure Government Cloud and on-premises integrations.
- Strong understanding of cloud security concepts, including IAM, network security, encryption, Zero Trust, and security controls.
- Experience conducting infrastructure and security risk assessments and recommending improvements to architecture, configurations, and operational practices.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, security architects, and compliance stakeholders while communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ and AZ-104:
Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification. Candidates who are not currently certified must obtain the required certifications within six months of hire. Failure to do so may result in termination of employment. A higher-level certification may be accepted in place of AZ-104 at Microsoft's discretion.
Compensation for the Deputy Project Leader:
- Salary range: $181,480 - $213,928 depending on experience
