Data Science Manager, Data Analyst
Overview
The Project Performance and Data Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in managing the data and integrating the full suite of project controls functions—cost control, scheduling, risk, performance reporting, and digital interface integration—across complex capital programs. This position ensures that project teams and executive stakeholders are equipped with accurate, timely, and actionable information to support strategic decisions. They will drive transparency, governance, and predictive analytics across the lifecycle of infrastructure and vertical construction programs.
Responsibilities- Cost Management:
Establish and maintain project and program-level control systems including budget data capture, change management, and earned value tracking. - Cost Management:
Review and approve cost forecasts, estimates, funding logs, and cash flow projections. - Cost Management:
Ensure alignment with funding budgets and financial reporting requirements. - Cost Management:
Lead monthly cost-to-complete reviews with project managers and finance teams. - Schedule Management:
Oversee the development and maintenance of baseline and forecast schedule integration between key systems and Primavera P6. - Schedule Management:
Develop and maintain reporting that provides effective visibility into schedule performance. - Reporting & Analytics:
Develop and manage standardized reporting frameworks including dashboards, heat maps, KPI scorecards, variance analysis, and executive summaries. - Reporting & Analytics:
Manage monthly reporting cycles, integrating cost, schedule, risk, and compliance data into actionable insights. - Reporting & Analytics:
Ensure consistent reporting standards across all projects within the program. - Reporting & Analytics:
Translate complex data into executive-ready visuals and summaries. - Data Quality & Governance:
Champion and coordinate data quality and data assurance activities necessary with maintaining situational awareness and actionable project reporting. - Digital Systems & Interface Integration:
Serve as the key liaison for integrating project control systems with enterprise tools such as ARM, ERP, Power BI, and document control platforms. - Digital Systems & Interface Integration:
Lead the implementation and optimization of digital dashboards and business intelligence tools for purposes of capital project delivery. - Digital Systems & Interface Integration:
Ensure that reporting provides real-time insights and drives informed decision-making. - Digital Systems & Interface Integration:
Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to ensure data integrity and interoperability. - Risk & Change Management:
Serve as primary liaison with Digital team for matters related to key systems of record / data management pertinent to capital projects. - Risk & Change Management:
Monitor and control change order workflows; quantify and document cost and schedule impacts. - Risk & Change Management:
Facilitate change control and maintain governance. - Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
Supervise and mentor staff. - Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
Interface regularly with internal stakeholders, executive teams, and contractors. - Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
Lead presentations and reporting for monthly review meetings and steering committees.
Education
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor s Degree preferred
Work Experience
- 5+ years of professional work experience in construction and data management & analytics, including knowledge of construction management processes and operations
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to write and present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
- Ability to meet numerous deadlines under tight time constraints
- Ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, subordinates, and peers
- Ability to utilize SQL or Python to develop and optimize data extraction queries and create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills for data modeling, pivot tables, and scenario analysis
- Working knowledge of relevant company operations and systems (e.g., WMIS, Salesforce, SAP, People Soft) preferred
We offer a competitive salary range of $103,500 to $150,750 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
