Operations & Maintenance Project Manager Role Overview
Dynamis, Inc. is hiring an experienced Operations & Maintenance Project Manager to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Protective Service (FPS). This full‑time role is located in Springfield, VA & Alexandria and involves collaborating with FPS leadership and GSA counterparts to optimize the agency’s real‑estate portfolio, execute space‑planning and relocation projects, manage occupancy agreements, and advance long‑term strategic goals.

Responsibilities- Coordinate O&M project activities across FPS‑occupied facilities, including preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and minor capital improvements.
- Serve as FPS’s primary point of contact with GSA building managers, property management firms, and maintenance contractors on facility issues.
- Track and manage open work orders, maintenance requests, and facility service tickets from submission through resolution.
- Conduct regular facility condition assessments to identify deferred maintenance, safety hazards, and improvement priorities.
- Support development of annual O&M work plans and budgets; track expenditures against approved plans.
- Coordinate emergency response to facility incidents, including water intrusion, HVAC failures, security system outages, and other disruptions.
- Maintain current documentation on building systems, maintenance histories, and warranty information for all FPS facilities.
- 4–7 years of experience in facilities operations, O&M project coordination, or building management in a federal or large commercial setting.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and HVAC systems common to office and warehouse environments.
- Experience managing work‑order systems and tracking maintenance projects across multiple locations simultaneously.
- Familiarity with GSA’s facility management processes, including service‑order requests and O&M responsibility boundaries under federal leases.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable managing vendor relationships and escalating issues to government leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) credential preferred.
