Job DescriptionThe Program Manager will lead a team providing non-personal advisory and assistance services to support correspondence management and administrative workflow improvements for the USDA Forest Service. The PM will oversee the flow of priority correspondence through multiple tracking systems and provide comprehensive project, content management and strategic advisory services.
Major Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive project support, content management, Section 508 remediation and strategic advisory services to the USDA Forest Service.
- Manage digital work spaces, optimize business tools, and facilitate executive-level decision-making.
- Maintain and optimize the flow of priority correspondence through legacy and new systems.
- Document business process workflows for controlled correspondence, FOIA, FACA, and records management.
- Develop and implement project roadmaps, plans and schedules for process improvement initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and recommend cultural changes to support implementations.
- Track milestones, prepare briefing materials, document meeting minutes and action items.
- Coordinate recruitment, training and performance management of team members.
- Prepare and manage program budgets, forecast requirements and report variances.
- Maintain compliance with security, background check, and travel requirements.
- Collaborate with IGH staff and stakeholders to review program status and develop marketing and outreach plans.
- Minimum 10 years of experience providing business services to Federal organizations.
- Subject matter expert in Federal Records Management, FOIA, FACA, Section 508 and federal technical writing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in staffing, planning and personnel management.
- Ability to manage profitability and promote process improvement systems.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical and performance management skills.
- Valid T1 background check required.
