Inova Cardiology is seeking a Lead Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the cardiology team in a full-time day shift position, Monday through Friday. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership responsibilities in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Perform full patient intakes
- Reconcile medications
- Provide patient education
- Serve as a clinical expert and team lead for all clinical staff in the outpatient environment
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team
- Achieve desired patient outcomes using an integrated approach
- Assume responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning
- Provide direction and guidance to others regarding clinical practice
- Serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to the outpatient team
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 3 years of registered nurse clinical experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous outpatient experience as a Registered Nurse
- Previous leadership, charge, or preceptor experience
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Full-time day shift, Monday through Friday
