Qualifications & Experience Food & Beverage Supervisor

Are you a passionate hospitality professional who loves leading people, creating great guest experiences, and making things happen in a fast-paced environment?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team and help deliver outstanding food, drinks, service and experiences across our attraction’s cafés and bars.

This is more than a role behind the counter. You’ll be a hands-on leader, inspiring your team, driving sales, maintaining exceptional food safety and service standards, and helping the wider attraction run smoothly.

This is a hands-on role full time position in a lively attraction environment. You’ll need to be comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
, depending on operational requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading and motivating the F&B team to deliver exceptional, guest-focused service.
  • Overseeing café and/or bar operations, including hot food, Starbucks® coffee, snacks, ice cream and cold beverages.
  • Coaching, training and developing team members through feedback, recognition, team building and performance management.
  • Creating effective team schedules and forecasting staffing requirements to meet the needs of the business.
  • Managing stock, inventory, ordering and wastage to ensure excellent cost control.
  • Driving sales and achieving key performance indicators, including spend-per-head targets.
  • Maintaining outstanding standards of cleanliness, presentation, food preparation and hygiene.
  • Ensuring food safety, allergen management, temperature checks and required records are consistently maintained.
  • Completing standards audits and ensuring Merlin Food Safety Standards are met or exceeded.
  • Ensuring team members hold the appropriate food-handling qualifications and that required licences and certifications remain up to date.
  • Using point-of-sale, cost and order-management systems effectively.
  • Resolving guest issues and empowering your team to deliver great guest recovery when things don’t go to plan.
  • Working closely with other attraction departments to respond quickly to operational challenges.
  • Supporting safe and efficient guest flow and queue management during busy periods.
  • Taking Manager-on-Duty shifts, overseeing the wider attraction operation and supporting colleagues across departments.
  • Championing a positive, inclusive and energetic team culture where people can learn, grow and enjoy the ride.
Experience/Education
  • At least two years’ experience in food and beverage
    , such as restaurants, cafés or similar hospitality environments.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for delivering excellent guest experiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with POS systems and inventory/sales auditing.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the confidence to introduce and embrace new procedures and systems.
  • A current food safety certification, or the ability to successfully obtain the required certification within 30 days of starting.
  • The ability to obtain any other licences or certifications required for the role.
