Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic I performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry work.

• Replacing motors
• Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
• Painting structures and equipment
• Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
• Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles
• Hanging doors and installing door locks
• Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

• High School diploma or equivalent; minimum of five years of general maintenance experience required.
• Formal or informal education or training that ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
• Clearance Required:
  
  TS/SCI with CIP.

US $42.15 per hour.
