Job DescriptionWorking Hours:
Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 hours per week). Operating hours on-site are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday;
Shifts will consist of an 8-hour shift during those hours. On-call support will be required on an occasional basis.
Duties and Responsibilities Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment;
- Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems;
- Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures;
- Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.);
- Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities;
- Maintaining air and water treatment systems;
- Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks;
- Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams;
- Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Full Scope Poly
Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license;
EPA Universal certification;
High school diploma or equivalent;
Must demonstrate proficiency with the following:
- Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC;
- Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55
-Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 – Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems; - Experience with CMMS is a plus but not required.
