Vantor is currently seeking a Mid-level Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team. This role will be performed at the customer facility located in Springfield, Virginia. As a Vantor team member, you will have the opportunity to closely support our mission partners, and your work will have direct mission impact. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, geospatial analysts, all-source analysts and our cybersecurity team to create and maintain a diverse range of applications served out to a targeted user-base.

What You’ll Be Doing: Developing web applications for real-time query and analysis of our petabyte-scale data store, creating distributed analytics purpose-built to support our mission partners, and helping to transition data science workflows into user friendly applications for analysts.

Minimum Requirements- Must be a US citizen.
- Current Top Secret security clearance w/ SCI Eligibility and willing to get a CI poly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree may count as an additional 2 years of experience.).
- 5 years demonstrated experience with programming, design, and development.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle
- In-depth knowledge in Python, Java, or similar programming language.
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc).
- Experience with ORM software (Django, SQL Alchemy, Hibernate, etc)
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems (navigating the file system, common management commands, etc)
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking and working knowledge of remote system workflows (SSH, port forwarding, server/client architecture, etc)
- Exposure to building and supporting solutions in a cloud like environment (such as Open Stack).
- Working knowledge of agile software development practices and tools, such as Git Lab
- Must be able to work full-time, on-site in Springfield, VA.
