Overview
RTX seeks an Operator to join a high‑performing Operations and Sustainment team, embedded on‑site with customer presence, for a mission‑critical system managed by the U.S. government. The role focuses on ensuring 24×7 operations and troubleshooting technical anomalies.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with operators, data managers, engineers, subcontractors, peers, customers and vendors to provide Tier1 and Tier2 troubleshooting for system anomalies.
- Maintain the environment by identifying anomalies, restoring operations, and collaborating with senior engineers as needed.
- Assist with installing upgrades, monitor system and network performance, initiate troubleshooting, and coordinate with other organizations.
- Follow existing operational policies and procedures; troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating‑system issues.
- Escalate application problems to support teams and track detailed system reports.
- Execute additional duties as required while collocated with the customer and other operations‑center residents.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2years of relevant experience.
- Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (TS/SCI with polygraph) required before start date; U.S. citizenship mandatory.
- Proficiency with Linux commands and familiarity with technical documentation.
- Preferred:
Security+ certification, experience in the Intelligence Community (IC). - Strong customer‑support skills, excellent communication, teamwork, and detailed problem‑tracking capabilities.
Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 per year, based on experience and role responsibilities.
