Second Shift Operator

Overview

Raytheon (RTX) seeks an Operator to join a high‑performing Operations and Sustainment team, embedded on‑site, with customer presence, for a system considered mission critical by the government. The selected candidate will work 24/7 operations, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting toward resolution of technical system anomalies.

• Work with operators and data managers, engineers, subcontractors, peers, customers, and product vendors to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting toward resolution of technical system anomalies.
• Maintain the environment by identifying anomalies and restoring operations or working with senior engineers for action.
• Assist with installing upgrades, monitor system and network performance, initiate troubleshooting, and work with other organizations.
• Follow existing operational policies and procedures, troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues, and elevate application problems to support teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (TS/SCI with Poly) required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with Linux commands.
• Preferred:
  Security+ certification, experience in the Intelligence Community (IC), familiarity with technical documentation, comfortable performing normal duties collocated with the customer, proven ability in strong customer support, strong team player with good communications and detailed problem tracking for system reports.

Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.

Note:

Not relocation eligible.

Security clearance is required. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
