• Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack.
• Follows work orders or oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage sites to designated loading area.
• Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage and spoilage on appropriate sheets.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases and other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and wraps them together.
• Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance of warehouse and sales center offices.
• Wears company-provided uniform and safety equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience; forklift experience preferred.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and exert force of up to 100 pounds with a manual lifting device. Specific vision abilities include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, occasional outside weather conditions, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually loud.
