Pepsi Warehouse Laborer

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, hand truck, and/or electric pallet jack, as appropriate.
• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage sites to designated loading area.
• Counts and records the number of units of materials moved or handled, including breakage and spoilage on appropriate sheets.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases and other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and wraps bundles together.
• Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance of the warehouse and sales center offices.
• Wears company‑provided uniform and safety equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read work orders.
• Basic math skills.
• Common sense reasoning to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Forklift operator certified; CO2 Filling Operator.

The employee regularly stands, walks, uses hands to handle objects, reaches with hands and arms, and talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds unaided and exert up to 100 pounds with a manual lifting device. Vision requirements include distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, explosives, vibrations, and high noise levels.
