Under the supervision of Administration and the Historical Society Committee organizes the collection through cataloging, classifying and processing of books, files, photos and other materials. Makes decisions on how the collection can best be stored and easily retrieved for Committee users. This is a temporary position. ($15.00/hr)

• Receives and checks donated materials to the Historical Society.
• Classifies, catalogs and files materials based upon a thorough knowledge of the collection.
• Development and maintenance of the computerized database and related systems.
• Organizes storage of collection materials for easy location and retrieval.
• Assists in weeding materials.
• May need to develop reports for the City financial and legal department from Data collected on the collection.

All other duties as assigned.

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Must have computer proficiency and organizational skills.
• Must have experience in maintaining correct files and filing systems.
• Must be able to speak/read English and read hand written cursive text.
• Strong connection to Springville City preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, stoop or kneel to reach lowest book shelves.
• Reach to a maximum of six feet to reach upper shelves, with or without a step stool.
