Fiber Tel is hiring a Project Assistant for our Springville, UT office. The position is entry‑level and involves a variety of administrative tasks. The Project Assistant will assist the Project Manager with customer account management, track job progress, and provide timely billing/invoicing. The role requires coordination with internal departments and support of other administrative duties as needed.
Responsibilities- Process account billing and invoicing promptly.
- Communicate with customers via phone or email as needed.
- Update job information in the customer’s tracking system.
- Upload and monitor job information and progress.
- Coordinate project timelines with internal departments.
- Monitor project timelines and deadlines.
- Accommodate updates and changes to project schedules.
- Document project billing processes and maintain records.
- Assist with other administrative duties when necessary.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Prior construction experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and applicable engineering programs.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain the required license for the position.
The job operates in both office and field environments with occasional exposure to noise and other hazards. The role routinely uses standard office equipment and may require time outside the office to meet clients or inspect vehicles.
Physical RequirementsEmployee must frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is required. Lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
