Overview

Fiber Tel, LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator for its Springville, UT location. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating safety programs for both office and field operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and applicable environmental regulations.

Compensation

Pay: $18–22 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive EHS culture through collaborative teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local laws, regulations, rules, and codes.
  • Conduct on‑site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and work practices.
  • Respond quickly to facility EHS concerns.
  • Provide administrative support, including procurement and documentation.
  • Participate in emergency planning and business continuity coordination with facilities and risk management.
  • Maintain a work vehicle and gas card for travel; candidates must be comfortable driving a work vehicle.
Qualifications
  • Background in electrical utility, telecom, or construction safety preferred.
  • 1–3 years of occupational health and safety experience required.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to employee health, safety, and site control.
Working Conditions &

Physical Requirements

This full‑time hourly position requires at least 40 hours per week, working outdoors in a variety of weather and terrain conditions. The role may involve exposure to natural gas, electrical shock risk, and moderate to loud noise levels. Physical demands include standing for up to 12 hours, lifting up to 75 pounds, and performing tasks that require bending, reaching, and climbing.

Visual acuity is required for safe worksite operations.
