Job Role s and Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantitative estimates for bidding, accounting, and cost control purposes.
- Review project documents, plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents during project transition and startup phases.
- Manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously.
- Analyze labor, equipment, material, and production costs.
- Develop detailed cost estimates and financial analyses for projects.
- Utilize estimating and bidding software to evaluate production risks and prepare reports.
- Solicit, review, and manage vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Compile actual project cost data for comparison and analysis.
- Present estimates and cost analyses to management and stakeholders.
- Support profitability goals through accurate estimating and budgeting.
- Assist with identifying and pursuing future project opportunities.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, accountants, and operations teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Valid driver's license or government-issued identification.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 5-10 years of estimating or related construction experience.
- Experience in construction estimating, preferably within heavy civil, wet utilities, drilling, or concrete projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with estimating and bidding software preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects and budgets.
