About the Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support and administer a wide range of human resources functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training, internal communications, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and a positive employee experience.

What

You’ll Do

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns
  • Support managers and employees with performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture

Onboarding & Hiring Support

  • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth and welcoming employee experience
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding documentation

HR Administration & Payroll Support

  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring employee data, changes, and documentation are current and accurate

Compliance & HR Policies

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures
  • Support audits, investigations, and reporting as needed

Training & Development

  • Oversee Innovative Labs University (IL University), including course offerings, enrollment, and scheduling
  • Coordinate employee training programs and professional development initiatives
  • Track training completion, maintain training records, and generate reports on effectiveness
  • Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and recommend learning opportunities
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development to ensure employees have the tools to succeed

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Assist with internal communications to ensure timely, consistent messaging across the organization
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of the monthly employee newsletter
  • Manage employee recognition programs, including Years of Service milestones and Employee of the Month
  • Coordinate recognition communications, awards, and engagement activities to support morale and connection
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience coordinating training programs and tracking completion
  • Ability to manage internal communications, newsletters, and recognition programs
  • Proficiency with HR systems (Paylocity experience a plus) and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing-based office environment
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a coordinator or generalist role
