It is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with experienced data professionals and gain valuable real‑world data skills and experience.

This role focuses on building and sustaining dashboards, reporting automation, and lightweight tools that turn operational and physical security data into trusted, actionable insights. The data visualization and tooling specialist will partner with business stakeholders and data owners to define metrics, model data, and deliver high‑quality reporting solutions, primarily across Microsoft platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain complex data and semantic models to support consistent metrics across reports.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI that clearly communicate trends, risks, and operational performance.
  • Learn and apply data modeling and engineering principles, including KPI definition and reusable measures.
  • Build data pre‑processing, intake, and reporting automation using Microsoft Forms, SharePoint Lists, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Monitor data refreshes, validate data integrity, and help identify and resolve data quality or reliability issues in coordination with data owners.
  • Participate in data storytelling projects, turning complex data sets into clear, executive‑ready visualizations.
  • Write extensive documentation for data models, workflows, definitions, and methodologies, especially for your own projects.
What We Offer
  • 1–2 year contract position (with possible extended work).
  • Hands‑on experience with industry‑leading data modeling and visualization tools.
  • A collaborative environment to learn and grow your skills.
  • Opportunity to work on real‑world projects and make an impact.
  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced data professionals.
Job Requirements Qualifications
  • Must be able to work in the Payson, Utah office.
  • U.S. Citizenship and minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Ability to analyze data and deliver insights through data manipulation and visualization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Forms, SharePoint Lists, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with programming concepts and/or languages.

Ability to troubleshoot reporting, data refresh, or connector issues and work with data owners to resolve them.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated to learn new skills, identify problems, and create solutions.
  • A team player who can work well in a multi‑role environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent graduate from an undergraduate program in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience building dashboards or operational reporting solutions, preferably in Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts (e.g., measures vs. dimensions, basic star schema).
  • Experience with Power Shell automation.
  • Exposure to SQL or Python for data analysis or validation.
  • Experience working with sensitive data, physical security concepts, or government security clearance environments.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
