As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the acquisition, storage, and reporting of performance metrics for all of our Five Star Franchising brands. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Marketing and prospect data and metrics.
• Lead attribution by location.
• Quotes, invoices, payments, and other sales funnel metrics by location.
• Top line sales by location and brand.

• Designing and building data infrastructure: creating and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and data processing systems. We use Snowflake and Air Bytes.
• Data collection and storage: ensuring efficient and reliable collection of data from various sources.
• Data transformation and processing: transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis and other applications. We use Looker for reporting.
• Data quality and governance: implementing measures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Collaboration:
  
  working with the executive team, brand ops and marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver relevant data solutions.
• Monitoring and maintenance: continuously monitoring data systems for performance, security, and reliability.
• Problem solving: identifying and resolving issues related to data infrastructure and processing.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience in a data analytics or engineering role, such as Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar position.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into reports and other visualizations.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Air Bytes, Looker, and other cloud and data storage solutions.
