SUMMARY

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for handling all products that come into our manufacturing facility. Working with the Shipping + Receiving Manager, this position is key to ensure all client’s orders are taken care of from the moment we have them on-hand. The job is very fast-paced and challenging, but this individual is good at finding solutions to meet the needs of our clients, and is self-motivated to achieve their best performance.

JOB

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive, PO match, tag and distribute products delivered daily
  • Scanning and invoicing orders
  • Keeping accurate inventory counts
  • Ensure all orders ship out on time, accurately, and with optimum quality
  • Understand principles of shipping, receiving, stock pulling, order fulfillment, and quality control
  • Follow standard processes set for each task
  • Manage time efficiently while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Meet goals for each process related to receiving
  • Works with management professionally to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Ensures that all waste is reported accurately and disposed of properly
  • Communicates with management, various departments, and team members to satisfy customer needs

Requirements

Must have proper documentation for employment in the United States

Must perform Pre-Employment drug test

JOB SKILLS & REQUIRMENTS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Standard knowledge of computers and iPads
  • Optimum attention to detail and
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to function in a standing position for 6-8 hours a day
  • Logistics or supply chain background preferred
  • Receiving or inventory control preferred
  • UPS, Fed Ex, or USPS experience preferred
  • Starship, Wordship or other shipping platforms preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

SCHEDULE
  • Monday to Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm (Full-time)
WORK SPACE INFO

This job operates in a warehouse environment which requires standing, moving, lifting, and operating machinery and computers. Personal Protection Equipment may be required. Safety training is mandatory and employees must be able to pass basic safety requirements.

TRAINING

Training for this position will be completed by the department manager. Training will consist of education on key processes, preparation and staging requirements by customer, location of tools, supplies and materials. You will be trained on how to use the order interface, how to properly read orders and where to look for notes. Additional training will be completed as processes evolve or as required.

SAFETY

In addition, the incumbent must accept that they have responsibility for maintaining the safety of themselves and others by adhering to all written and verbal instructions, promptly reporting and/or correcting all hazards or unsafe conditions, questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards, and providing feedback to site leads and management on all safety issues.
