The Planning Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the finite production schedule, covering diversified parts and assemblies in alignment with the master production schedule. The role releases orders to individual departments, monitors material inventories, tracks production progress, and reviews factors that affect the schedule. The Planning Manager makes daily schedule modifications and reissues orders as needed to address machine and material availability changes.

The position requires the ability to read, understand, and follow industry‑standard GMPs.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare daily and weekly production schedules that align with the overall monthly master schedule
  • Export, manipulate, and analyze data within the ERP system
  • Evaluate run quantities and adjust as needed to optimize inventory levels and set‑up efficiency
  • Serve as the single point of contact between Sales, Operations, and Purchasing — working closely with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure resources are in place to support the production plan
  • Coordinate the material handling schedule and work closely with the distribution team
  • Proactively identify potential supply concerns — including capacity constraints and shortages — and communicate analysis and recommendations to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate the movement of products and materials through manufacturing to completion and on‑time shipment
  • Allocate daily production across individual lines to maximize set‑up efficiency and meet equipment constraints
  • Provide reporting on daily production and ensure accurate production reporting in the company’s ERP system
  • Perform other tasks as needed and directed by the Senior Director of Supply Chain
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills
Experience And Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing Operations Administration, or a similar field preferred.
  • Three years of experience required in inventory control or project management.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment — including safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection — is required. For the most part, the role is performed in a typical office environment with ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment.

The Perks of Joining Our Team
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage—plus a few weeks of paid parental leave when it matters most.
  • Paid time off and holidays to help you unwind and recharge
  • Real opportunities to grow your skills and make an impact as we evolve
  • A collaborative team that’s adaptable, supportive, and driven to succeed together
  • A 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions to help you build your future.
