Industrial Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on fresh water and wastewater treatment projects. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and commissioning electrical systems and equipment in industrial water and wastewater facilities.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in industrial environments, reading electrical drawings and specifications, and working with motors, motor control equipment, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and industrial communication systems. Experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities is preferred but not necessary.

Wage: $40.00 +

Install, terminate, and troubleshoot electrical systems for fresh water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Install and terminate conduit, wire, cable, and electrical equipment in accordance with plans, specifications, and NEC requirements.

Install and connect motors, motor starters, VFDs, MCCs, disconnects, control panels, and other industrial equipment
.

Install and terminate wiring for instrumentation and process control systems
, including field devices and control panels.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment schedules, and specifications.

Perform electrical installations in industrial wet, dry, and process environments.

Assist with installation and troubleshooting of PLC and SCADA-related electrical systems
.

Install and troubleshoot power and control wiring for pumps, blowers, mixers, chemical feed equipment, valves, and other process equipment.

Perform equipment startup, testing, and commissioning activities.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control systems, motors, VFDs, and instrumentation wiring.

Identify and correct installation issues while maintaining quality and project schedules.

Coordinate with project managers, foremen, instrumentation technicians, mechanical contractors, and other trades.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.

Ensure work is completed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable safety standards.

Provide direction and assistance to apprentices and less-experienced electricians.

Complete required documentation, testing, labeling, and equipment identification.

Perform other electrical construction duties as required by the project.

Current Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent qualification.

Proven experience in industrial electrical construction.

Strong understanding of the NEC and industrial electrical installation practices.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Experience installing and terminating conduit and electrical wiring.

Experience with
VFDs, MCCs, motor controls, control panels, and industrial equipment
.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems.

Strong understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work in industrial environments, including wet, dirty, confined, and outdoor areas.
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
• Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment as required.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all site-specific safety requirements.
• Occasional travel outside of normal business hours may be required based on project schedules.
