Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Job Overview
We’re seeking a Warehouse Shipper to join our warehouse team! The Warehouse Shipper is responsible for picking and packing products to be shipped and the receipt, verification, and recording of materials. Loading trucks, verifying packing lists, BOLs and sealing the trucks is also a key part of the position.
Responsibilities- Pick and pack products according to invoices received from sales
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies in the area
- Maintain an organized, clean work area with an emphasis on safety and company standards
- Fulfill orders accurately, keeping shipping errors to a minimum
- Learn each division in the warehouse area
- Learn each location in the Finished Goods warehouse
- Locate pallets produced from production
- Maintain production standards that meet company expectations
- Maintain excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort
- Maintain a safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and managers
- Forklift certified
- Additional duties may be assigned or required
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours
- Maintain proper hygiene
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English
- Forklift experience
- Working knowledge of ERP systems & scan guns
- Working knowledge of BOLs and packing lists
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
