Berkeley Scott is seeking a General Assistant for temporary agency catering work in St Albans and the surrounding areas. The role starts in September, offering flexible shifts across schools and catering companies, paid at £14.50 per hour. The position suits reliable individuals who can adapt to different environments and gain diverse experience.

• Support kitchen teams with food preparation and basic catering duties.
• Serve food and assist customers where required.
• Keep kitchens and service areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Washing up and helping maintain a smooth‑running operation.
• Provide reliable support as a general assistant across a variety of venues.

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or as a general assistant is beneficial but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Two professional references.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage (not essential).
