, helping build the financial backbone of a fast-growing, mission-driven manufacturing organization.
- Own technical accounting and compliance across U.S. GAAP, FAR, and CAS within a government-contracting environment
- Lead general ledger, balance sheet integrity, and month-end close
, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness - Prepare and review DCAA-compliant financial reports
, incurred cost submissions, and supporting schedules - Manage indirect cost structures, cost pools, and rate monitoring in alignment with CAS requirements
- Oversee accounting operations tied to government contracts
, including billing, revenue recognition, and allowable/unallowable cost treatment - Develop, enforce, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation
- Partner closely with auditors, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to support audits, budgeting, and process improvements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience
, with deep exposure to government contracting and technical accounting
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, FAR, CAS
, and federal reporting requirements
Experience preparing audit-ready documentation for DCAA, DCMA, or similar oversight bodies
ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar strongly preferred)
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide accounting teams in a fast-paced environment
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with autonomy
Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex accounting into clear guidance
