About

The Role

As a Drainage Apprentice at Ipsum, you will support experienced crews across a variety of working environments while developing practical drainage and maintenance skills through on-the-job training. A safety-first approach is essential at all times.

Working as part of a two-person team, you will assist in delivering low-complexity drainage schemes and operational tasks to a high standard.

You will be trained to work safely, efficiently, and effectively, ensuring all work is completed within required timescales while contributing positively to the wider team.

As a Drainage Apprentice you will…
  • Operating the following equipment day to day based on specific role:
    • CCTV Unit
    • HGV Jetting Unit
    • Jet Van
    • Survey/Asset Van
    • Patching r Lining Unit
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality and Environment
  • Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.
  • Ensure all site related incidents are reported to your Supervisor.
  • Contribute and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalate.
  • Work closely with associated Engineers, ensuring all aspects of work are completed on site.
  • Contribute towards producing high quality results, reports and feedback.
  • Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.
  • You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours working across the UK.
Required Qualifications & Professional Membership(s)
  • This role requires a full clean driving licence
Knowledge & Experience
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety principles (training provided)
  • Comfortable using or learning basic IT tools and Microsoft Office
