Position Summary
Monitor the computerized Energy Management, Base Power Distribution/SCADA Systems, run trend reports, track energy usage, respond to industrial alarms, monitor power distribution on the Kings Bay campus, work with the Kings Bay Energy Manager to identify opportunities to reduce power consumption and improve efficiencies, and maintain environmental and temperature set points. The role may require working outside of normal work hours.
ResponsibilitiesRespond to industrial alarms using written procedures, reduce energy costs within feasible limits, interface with internal and external customers to satisfy utility demands, and support continuous improvement in power consumption.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as electrical, mechanical, or energy management.
- At least two (2) years of energy management experience, or a journeyman certification in industrial HVAC with two (2) years of energy management experience, or a total of six (6) years of combined energy management / HVAC experience.
- Ability to interpret drawings, trend graphs, service manuals, and operational meters/gauges.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS) including Trane Ensemble, Johnson Controls, SCADA, and other BAS platforms.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is desirable.
- Must obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
- Must obtain Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) certification within eighteen (18) months of hire.
Visual and physical contact with test-related systems, hardware, and articles; requires climbing, crawling, bending, and body mobility; ability to distinguish colors; use of precision maintenance instruments; interpretation of operational readings and graphs; knowledge of OEM repair methods and standards.
Equipment & Work EnvironmentControl room test operation displays, keyboards, mechanical/electrical control devices, personal computers, and computer terminals. Safety and personal protective equipment are used.

Employees must also comply with all safety, quality, environmental and operational requirements outlined in Amentum’s Quality System documents and customer contracts.
CompensationSalary: $110,000. (Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, experience and market data.)
