Role SummaryAs a Quality Engineer (QE), you will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Quality Program in Kings Bay, GA. In this role as the Quality Assurance Representative, you will be responsible for the execution of Material Review Board (MRB) duties, including material review and corrective action processes. You will review, evaluate and recommend hardware dispositions of non‑conforming items, assist in the accomplishment of corrective actions to preclude recurrence, and coordinate routing for proper approval.
You will provide liaison with customers to ensure conformance to quality requirements, witness technical operations and engineering proofings, support readiness reviews, and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. You will serve as a Quality Representative for Failure Review Boards (FRB) and provide QE representation for production operations. You will research and analyze data, perform trend and statistical analysis, track quality data, and generate quality reporting metrics, charts and supporting documentation.
You will lead, support and participate in special projects and CI events.
Must have effective presentation/communication skills, ability to develop rapport and provide presentations to various internal organizations and customers. Demonstrated performance as a self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a team environment and meet documented schedule commitments. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to accomplish research and investigate requirements as they apply to FBM processing disciplines.
Travel is required to support operations and events, if needed. Shift work is required.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to work with quality processes.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance to support this government contract.
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry).
- Demonstrated performance as a self‑starter, ability to manage multiple priorities within a team environment, experience with oral/written communications and ability to meet documented schedule commitments.
- Familiarity with missile hardware, processes, systems, enterprise requirements and command media.
- Green Belt or Black Belt trained or certified.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP and SharePoint experience.
- Experience in developing and reporting metrics.
- Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.
- Ability to accomplish trend analysis.
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with non‑conformance requirements and systems.
- Experience/training with quality processes (e.g., Root Cause and Corrective Action).
- Strong technical expertise in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, Systems Safety Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test).
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Secret clearance.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
