Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Trauma Med‑Surg Unit

Location

St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado.

Hours

36 hours per week (full‑time). Hourly rate $36.71 – $56.17 based on experience.

Scope of Practice

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in a fast‑paced neuro trauma and medical‑surgical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment
    :
    Perform physical, social, and psychological assessment; gather information from interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
  • Planning
    :
    Use assessment data and critical thinking to collaboratively develop individualized plan of care; involve patient, family, team, and physician.
  • Implementation
    :
    Direct interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration; provide or delegate care per plan and guidelines; prioritize and manage resources.
  • Evaluation
    :
    Assess patient response to interventions, review goal achievement and clinical outcomes; revise plan of care as needed.
  • Professionalism
    :
    Promote nursing profession, adhere to legal/ethical standards, comply with regulations, document accurately, and maintain licensure scope.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current RN license in Colorado.
  • Valid compact licenses transferred within 60 days of employment.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers.
  • BSN required from accredited institution; BSc within 4 years for RNs with less than 12 months experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
