New Graduate Registered Nurse Oncology

Position Overview

The New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to oncology patients y's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The role includes clinical responsibilities and participation in Intermountain's one‑year nurse residency program.

• Assess patient needs, read and interpret clinical information, and operate monitors and equipment.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients; assist with bed, chair and gurney transfers; handle portable equipment.
• Document care in the electronic health record and maintain accurate records.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including correct use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Participate in the nurse residency program, including webinars, simulations, case studies, and in‑person meetings, to transition from classroom to clinical practice.

• Graduate RN with a recognized and accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program; work experience as an RN less than one year.
• Current RN license in the state of practice (Colorado).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to completing the nurse residency program if required.

Full‑time, night shift. Shift differentials are available for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Hourly wage ranges: $26.50–$56.17, depending on experience and qualifications.
