Responsibilities- Provide Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) Support to Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT) Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E), and Marine Command Security Force Battalion (MCSFBN) Ammunition Chief.
- Properly store SWFLANT Unit Identifier Code (UIC) Security and Training A&E in up to ten magazines.
- Facilitate all SWFLANT UIC A&E reporting by providing required data to the assigned Ordnance Information System (OIS) database clerk.
- Track A&E condition, coordinate request and return of unserviceable A&E when required.
- Process and receive A&E as required to meet training and security requirements.
- Be part of a team that transports A&E for MCSFBN security personnel (Navy and Marine) both on-base and off-base in support of live fire training and qualifications in Florida and Georgia.
- Ensure sufficient vehicles to support three simultaneous live fire ranges.
- Certified to handle Class 1.1 through 1.4 Division Explosives.
- Maintain eligibility and participate in the Qualification/Certification Program of either SWFLANT or MCSFBN in accordance with Marine Corps and Navy qualification and certification programs, including AA&E screening and medical certification. This requires personnel physicals for all Contractor personnel handling A&E.
- Process, handle, and store ammunition and explosives following procedures in NAVSUP PUB 724 and OPNAV 5530.13.
- Store and secure ammunition in Government-provided designated magazines.
- Segregate materials based on Class/Division Explosive designation.
- Verify incoming material and ammunition against receipt documentation (NSN, P/N, condition, quantity, description) including NALC and Lot Number when applicable.
- Perform sentencing actions for all ammunition in support of SWFLANT and MCSFBN, ensuring appropriate COG classifications.
- Assist and support inventories required by Government employees of SWFLANT and MCSFBN.
- Issue A&E to Government authorized personnel for scheduled training or during unscheduled security operations.
- Report discrepancies involving ammunition immediately upon discovery.
- Provide required documentation supporting issue, turn-in, inventories, receipts, and replenishment recommendations to the SWFLANT primary OIS Data Base Administrator (DBA) or alternate DBA.
- Screen A&E for applicable notices of ammunition reclassifications (NARs) and perform reclassifications as directed.
- Notify the SWFLANT primary or alternate OIS DBA of any NARs applied to stock and check for NARs upon receipt or before issue of material.
- Dispose of A&E as directed, as approved by the Government.
- Package, repackage, band, load, and brace ammunition and 1.1 Division explosives to support A&E resources for on- or off-base ranges in Florida and Georgia.
- Provide ammunition transport for MCSFBN Security Force personnel training at base firing ranges in Florida and Georgia.
- Coordinate with the Ammo Chief or Logistics Officer to ensure ammunition is used on authorized ranges and sign over ammunition to the range Office in Charge (OIC).
- Prepare rolling two-month transport schedules for planned and conducted operations.
- Develop A&E required reports such as Expenditure, Monthly Inventory, and Annual Inventory as applicable.
Minimum Requirements /Education
- Ability to be successfully screened and retained in the MCSFBN AA&E Program.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 24 months of ammunition inventory management and transportation experience.
- Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License for ammunition transport; certified to handle Class 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 explosives and Haz Mat.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a material handling equipment (forklift) license.
- Active Secret Clearance
The applicant may be required to travel to other locations within CONUS and OCONUS in support of this contract.
