Position Summary
Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, is seeking a Tractor‑Trailer Truck Driver for a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. The driver will operate gasoline or diesel‑powered tractor‑trailer combinations to transport and deliver products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form.
Responsibilities- Drive tractor‑trailer combinations to destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering in difficult situations (e.g., narrow passageways).
- Inspect the truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
- Maintain driver logs in accordance with I.C.C. regulations.
- Assist workers in loading and unloading the truck as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of a safe tractor‑trailer driving record.
- Minimum of a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL); ability to obtain a government driver’s license for the required size and type of vehicles, including forklifts and mechanized lifting devices.
- Proficient operation of a tractor‑trailer and familiarity with proper tie‑down and securing of large equipment.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Proper hard‑toed, ankle‑height safety shoes meeting ASTM F2413‑05 standards.
- Successful completion of a government security investigation and continual eligibility for access to all areas of the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- U.S. citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization.

- Health & Welfare: $15.42 per hour contributed to benefits (effective 12/01/25).
- 401(k):
Company match up to 6% of employee contributions. - Paid Time Off:
Starts at 2.62 hours per pay period (136 hours annually), with increases based on tenure. - Holidays: 12 paid holidays.
- Additional Leave:
Bereavement and leave share programs. - Shift Differential:
Extra $1.75–$2.00 per hour depending on shift start time. - Hazard Pay: $3.00 per hour for designated high‑risk work areas.
- Lead Pay:
Additional $2.25 per hour for lead roles (temporary or permanent). - On‑Call Pay:
Two hours of overtime pay per day when on call during off‑days/holidays. - Safety Shoes Allowance: $175 annual allowance.
- Prescription Safety Glasses:
Up to $250 annually (per policy).
