Position: Part-Time High School Social Studies Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)
About STMA Schools

We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parent and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Start date:

August 24, 2026 (Plus New Teacher Orientation the week before, if new to the district)

FTE: 0.5 FTE

Contract:

186 days

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary and benefits package. For more information, please see the Certified Master Contract . Salary range listed ($23,208-$47,252) is based on the collective bargaining agreement for  school year and may increase as the  collective bargaining agreement has yet to be negotiated. 0.5 FTE certified staff benefits (June 30, 2025-July 1, 2026 benefit summary provided as an example as the rates for the new benefit year are not yet available).
