About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,900 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Speed and Strength Coaches to lead and develop our STMA Community Education Speed and Strength program.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for training young athletes of varying skill levels, developing effective practice plans, and instilling discipline and teamwork. Key duties include teaching lifting techniques, preparing athletes for competitions, and ensuring a safe and motivating environment. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring athletes are essential. Previous coaching experience and a deep understanding of weight and speed training are preferred.

Age ranges: Girls grades 9-12.

Start Date: April 6th, 2026

Schedule :
Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Games will be held on Sunday evenings for about 4 hours. Games will begin April 26th and run through May 31st. If the team makes the State Championship, there will be one additional week of practice and a game taking place on June 7th.

Salary and Benefits :

Head Coach: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Assistant Coaches: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching.

Must be 18+ years old.
